Bids & RFPs
As a public entity, the Port of Galveston publicly solicits all projects over the public bidding threshold as required by the State of Texas.
The Port of Galveston is now only accepting electronic solicitation submittals. Please visit the link below for access to all open solicitations. Should you be interested in submitting a bid or proposal, you will be asked to create a free account with Bonfire.
Procurement extends solicitation opportunities to the public in order to obtain the best value for the Port of Galveston.
Depending on the type of solicitation, the port considers many factors other than price. The reputation of the vendor, product quality, customer service, overall proposal, compliance with federal, state and local laws, delivery and any other factors as required by the scope of work.
Procurement Objectives
The goal of the Procurement department is to ensure fairness in all purchases and to be the bridge between vendors and departments. It is our responsibility to ensure that our internal customers – each department within the Port of Galveston – receive the best products and services on time and in the right amounts, and maintaining good working relationships with all vendors in doing so.
